Accredited by the Texas Education Agency, the district provides a quality education for pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade. Program Initiative

  • BISD launched a health initiative to promote fitness and well-being among employees. This two-week campaign featured weekly challenges with various tasks aimed at enhancing both physical fitness and mental wellness. In addition to physical activities, the campaign emphasized the importance of mental well-being and staying hydrated.

Solution Adopted

  • BISD launched a health campaign called "Fit Wars" from May 6, 2024, to May 19, 2024, spanning two weeks.
  • As part of this fitness initiative, employees were encouraged to walk over 40,000 steps in the first week and increase this to over 50,000 steps in the second week. They also participated in fitness runs/walks of at least 1 mile, twice a week.
  • To emphasize mental wellness, employees engaged in 10 to 15-minute mindfulness sessions at least four times a week.
  • Additionally, to ensure proper hydration, employees were encouraged to log their water intake at least eight glasses of water daily.
  • BISD ensured their employees remained physically fit and well-hydrated, while also focusing on mental wellness.
  • To help employees achieve their health goals, employers were given an HR Dashboard, offering access to actionable insights and data.
