Key Objective
Our major goal is to take our personnel on a wellness journey through a health program that promotes a healthy lifestyle.
Problem statement
- The challenge of implementing a successful wellness program in Alaska derives from the state's harsh cold. With such extreme conditions, employees lack the motivation to indulge in fitness activities.
- Hope Community Resources (HCR) needed a digital wellbeing platform to make their employees form healthy habits, achieving the purpose of maximizing health awareness among its workforce.
- The admin sought a real-time HR dashboard to precisely track employee performance.
- They also wanted to implement a virtual wellness program as per their requirement of including additional regional cuisines.
- HCR further looked for a digital solution that would enable them to customize their challenge metrics, such as substituting miles for kilometers.
- Targeting employee engagement and communication for remote employees, HCR desired digital wellness initiatives to bring the entire workforce together.
Solution
- Vantage Fit launched a digital wellness campaign called H.O.P. E (Having Only Positive Expectations) Health Challenge, which ran for two and a half months, from May 17th to July 25th, 2021.
- Parallel to the walkathon challenge, this campaign included Meal log-in, Yoga, Meditation, among other activities, with weekly goals set for each task.
- Admins were given the opportunity to construct custom challenges from a drop-down menu, enabling them to design tasks that were tailored to the needs of the company.
- Employees got access to their own completely gamified leaderboard, which allowed them to track task activities precisely and ensure accountability.
- A smooth and transparent pointer system was created by assigning points to each activity.
- The Vantage Fit app lets users customize meal entries and other physical and mental activities like mindfulness and meditation.
- All in all, Vantage Fit addressed all aspects of wellbeing, from physical to dietary to mental, resulting in increased employee motivation.

Results
- The H.O.P.E Health challenge lasted 2.5 months and involved over 52 HCR employees.
- The total number of steps taken by the entire staff was around 17,905,000.
- Over 350 kilometres were travelled by each participant over the course of ten weeks.
- During the challenge, all participants collectively expended around 805,000 calories.
- HCR's walkathon challenge resulted in more than 86% engagement rate.
