About the Company

SRS Medical is a leading medical device company headquartered in North Billerica, Massachusetts. Founded in 1991, the company designs and manufactures urological devices focused on improving patient outcomes. With a geographically distributed workforce and a mission rooted in healthcare innovation, SRS Medical places strong emphasis on the well-being of every employee.

Key Objective

Our principal goal is to launch an effective wellness initiative to raise women's health awareness among the workforce and promote an active lifestyle.

The Challenge

  • SRS Medical sought a digital wellness program to promote healthy living across its employee base.
  • Focused on women's health, they needed a challenge designed to drive maximum participation and raise meaningful awareness.
  • The HR team required a real-time dashboard to accurately monitor participant progress throughout the program.
  • With employees spread across multiple locations, SRS Medical needed a platform that removed geographic constraints entirely.
  • They wanted a solution that would sustain engagement through proper incentivisation — rewarding employees for achieving defined wellness targets.

The Approach

  • Vantage Fit hosted a Women's Health Awareness Step Challenge — branded as Step It Up! — running for the full month of May 2021 (1st to 31st).
  • To keep participation accessible for all fitness levels, employees were asked to complete 5,000 steps per day for a minimum of 20 out of 31 days.
  • An HR Dashboard gave administrators real-time, accurate visibility into participant progress and engagement metrics.
  • A gamified leaderboard let participants track their personal step counts and compare performance across the organisation.
  • The challenge united the entire workforce on a single platform behind a common health goal — eliminating barriers of time zone and location.
  • A transparent points system assigned value to every logged activity, with redeemable rewards distributed to participants upon hitting their targets.

Results

The Step It Up! challenge delivered consistent, measurable outcomes across SRS Medical's entire workforce. Over the course of the month, employees showed sustained commitment to daily movement — accelerating their performance in the final two weeks as momentum and leaderboard competition built.

  • Over 2 million steps in total were covered by SRS Medical employees across the challenge month.
  • Each participant completed an average distance of over 2,800 km during the 31-day program.
  • Employees burned an aggregate of more than 126,800 KCal over the 4-week duration.
  • Average step count per employee increased by 19.37% in the final 2 weeks — demonstrating that the challenge drove sustained behaviour change, not just a one-time spike.
