The social feed in Vantage Fit is your company's wellness community hub. It's where colleagues share achievements, post fitness updates, and cheer each other on. Think of it as a social media feed dedicated to your workplace wellness community.
Where to Find the Feed
Tap the Community tab at the bottom of the app. The social feed is the default view, showing a chronological stream of posts from people across your organization.
What You'll See in the Feed
The feed includes several types of content:
Fitness Posts
Colleagues sharing their workouts, GPS-tracked runs, step achievements, and other fitness activities. These posts often include distance, duration, and route maps.
Achievement Posts
Automated posts celebrating milestones -- things like "Sarah completed the Spring Step Challenge" or "Raj hit a 30-day workout streak." These are generated by the platform when someone reaches a notable milestone.
Announcements
Company-wide or group-specific announcements from HR admins, such as new challenge launches, wellness program updates, or motivational messages.
Shared Activities
When someone completes a GPS workout or logs a notable activity and chooses to share it, it appears in the feed with their stats and any comments they added.
Interacting With Posts
You can engage with any post in the feed:
Like
Tap the like button (heart or thumbs-up icon) to show appreciation for a colleague's post. Quick, easy, and always welcome.
Comment
Tap the comment icon to leave a message on a post. Comments support:
- Rich text formatting
- Mentions -- Type
@followed by a colleague's name to tag them - Hashtags -- Use
#to tag topics (e.g., #MorningRun, #StepChallenge)
Reply
You can reply to individual comments, creating threaded conversations under a post.
Tip: A quick word of encouragement on a colleague's post can go a long way. The social feed thrives when people actively engage with each other's achievements.
Shared With VantageCircle R&R Feed
The social feed in Vantage Fit is shared with the VantageCircle Rewards & Recognition feed. This means:
- Fitness achievements and posts from Vantage Fit are visible to colleagues who use the VantageCircle R&R platform
- R&R recognitions and appreciation posts from VantageCircle may also appear in your Vantage Fit feed
- This creates a unified social experience across both platforms
Note: The shared feed means your fitness posts may be visible to colleagues who use VantageCircle but not Vantage Fit. Keep this in mind when sharing -- it's a broader audience than just Vantage Fit users.
Posting Your Own Content
You can share your own updates to the feed:
- Tap the create post button (usually a "+" or compose icon in the Community tab)
- Write your message
- Optionally attach photos or activity data
- Post to the feed
Your post will be visible to colleagues based on your organization's visibility settings.
Feed Etiquette
- Celebrate others -- Like and comment on your colleagues' achievements
- Be genuine -- Share your real progress, including the tough days
- Stay supportive -- The feed is a positive space. Encourage, don't compete negatively
- Use hashtags thoughtfully -- They help others find relevant content
