What is Bite-Size content?

Updated May 12, 2026 Employee

Bite-size content is Vantage Fit's format for short, interactive micro-lessons that you can complete in just a few minutes. Instead of reading a long article or watching a full video, bite-size content delivers wellness knowledge in quick, engaging steps -- perfect for learning on the go.

Where to Find Bite-Size Content

Bite-size content lives in the Programs tab. You may find it in a dedicated section or mixed in with other content in the Library. Look for content marked as "bite-size" or with the micro-lesson format.

How Bite-Size Content Works

Each bite-size lesson is a step-through experience. Here's what that means:

Step-by-Step Format

Instead of one long page, the content is broken into individual screens that you swipe or tap through:

  1. Image screens -- A visual related to the topic (infographic, photo, or illustration)
  2. Text screens -- A short paragraph or key fact explaining the concept
  3. Quiz screens -- A question to test your understanding of what you just learned

You move through each step at your own pace. Tap Next or swipe to advance to the next screen.

Interactive Quizzes

Most bite-size lessons include one or more quiz questions embedded between the content steps. These might be:

  • Multiple choice -- Select the correct answer from options
  • True/False -- Quick knowledge checks
  • Match or select -- Identify the right concept

Quizzes make the content interactive and help reinforce what you've just learned. There's no penalty for wrong answers -- it's about learning, not testing.

Completion Counts as an Activity

Here's the key benefit: completing a bite-size lesson counts as an activity in Vantage Fit. This means:

  • If you're in an active challenge that includes content tasks, completing bite-size content can count toward your task progress
  • Some challenges specifically assign bite-size lessons as required tasks
  • Completion is tracked automatically -- once you step through all screens and answer the quiz questions, it's recorded

Tip: Check your active challenge task list to see if any bite-size content is assigned. Completing it is often one of the quickest ways to make progress on your challenge.

Multi-Language Support

Bite-size content is available in multiple languages. If your company supports multiple languages, you may see content in your preferred language based on your app settings.

This makes bite-size content accessible to employees across different regions and language preferences within your organization.

Topics You'll Find

Bite-size content covers a wide range of wellness topics, including:

  • Nutrition basics -- Understanding food groups, reading labels, healthy snacking
  • Fitness fundamentals -- Stretching, posture, warm-up routines
  • Mental health -- Stress management, mindfulness, work-life balance
  • Sleep hygiene -- Better sleep habits, wind-down routines
  • Hydration -- Why water matters, how much to drink
  • Workplace wellness -- Desk exercises, eye care, ergonomics

New bite-size content is added periodically, so check back regularly for fresh lessons.

Why Bite-Size Content Works

Research shows that micro-learning -- consuming information in small, focused chunks -- improves retention and engagement compared to long-form content. Bite-size content in Vantage Fit is designed around this principle:

  • Short enough to fit anywhere -- Between meetings, during a break, on the commute
  • Visual and interactive -- Images and quizzes keep you engaged
  • Immediately actionable -- Each lesson delivers a takeaway you can apply right away
  • No commitment pressure -- If you have 3 minutes, you can complete a lesson
