Good news: you don't need to do anything. Vantage Fit supports 13 languages out of the box, and they're all available to every employee automatically. Language is detected from each employee's device settings — no admin configuration required.
How Language Detection Works
When an employee opens Vantage Fit, the app checks their device's language settings and automatically displays the UI in that language (if supported). There's nothing for you to enable, toggle, or configure.
- iOS employees — the app uses the language set in Settings → Vantage Fit → Language, or falls back to the device's system language
- Android 12+ employees — the app uses the per-app language set in Settings → Apps → Vantage Fit → Language, or falls back to the system language
- Android 11 and below — the app uses the device's system language
- Web users — the app follows the browser's language setting

All 13 languages are active for every company by default:

What Gets Translated Automatically
The following content is localized based on each employee's preferred language:
App UI
All buttons, labels, navigation items, menus, error messages, and system prompts are translated. When an employee switches their device language, the entire app interface updates.
System Emails
Vantage Fit sends automated emails (welcome emails, challenge invitations, weekly summaries, etc.) and both the subject line and email body are localized to match the employee's preferred language.
Note: Email language is based on the language preference stored for each employee. If an employee changes their device language, subsequent emails will go out in the new language.
What Does NOT Get Translated Automatically
Some content requires you to provide translations — Vantage Fit does not auto-translate custom content.
Custom Terms & Conditions
If you've added custom Terms & Conditions text for your company, that text is displayed exactly as you wrote it. If your workforce spans multiple languages, you'll need to provide translated versions for each language your employees use.
Tip: If you have a multilingual workforce, work with your legal team to prepare T&C translations in advance. Employees who don't read the language your T&C is written in may not understand the terms they're agreeing to.
Custom Emails
When you send custom emails or announcements through the admin dashboard, they go out in whatever language you write them in. There is no auto-translation. If you need to reach employees in multiple languages, you'll need to send separate communications.
Admin-Created Challenge Content
Challenge names, descriptions, and custom task labels that you write are displayed as-is. System-generated elements within challenges (like UI chrome and buttons) are translated, but your custom text is not.
Content Library
Articles, videos, and wellness content can exist in multiple languages. Bite-size content supports localization through the content management system — your Vantage Fit account manager can help you set up localized content if needed.
Best Practices for Multilingual Workforces
If your employees speak multiple languages:
Keep custom text simple and universal — use clear, short sentences in your challenges and communications. This helps if some employees rely on their browser's built-in translation.
Provide T&C translations — this is the most important custom content to translate since employees must agree to it.
Consider language in challenge names — if most of your workforce speaks one language, name challenges in that language. If it's truly mixed, English is usually the safe default.
Test the employee experience — change your own device language to one of the 13 supported options and walk through the app. You'll see exactly what your employees see.
Ask your account manager about localized content — if you want articles and bite-size content in specific languages, the Vantage Fit team can help configure this.
Frequently Asked Questions
