Vantage Fit can automatically generate completion certificates for employees who finish a challenge. You configure the certificate during challenge creation, customizing it with your company's branding, your signature, and a personalized message.
How Certificates Work
- Certificates are automatically generated when a challenge ends.
- Every participant who completes the challenge receives a certificate.
- The certificate uses a Vantage Fit template styled with your company's branding.
- Employees can view and download their certificates from the app.
Enabling Certificates
Certificates are configured during the challenge creation process:
- In the challenge creation wizard, navigate to the Certificate section.
- Toggle Enable Certificate on.
That is the minimum — the system will generate certificates with default styling. But to make them feel truly professional, customize the details below.
Customizing Your Certificate
Once certificates are enabled, you can configure the following:
Signature Image
Upload a digital image of the signer's signature.
- Click Upload Signature.
- Select an image file (PNG with transparent background works best).
- The signature appears on the certificate in the designated signature area.
Tip: Scan a real signature on white paper, then use any background removal tool to make it transparent. This looks much more authentic than a typed name.
Signer Name and Designation
Enter the name and title of the person signing the certificate:
- Signer name — e.g., "Jane Smith"
- Designation — e.g., "Vice President, Human Resources"
These appear below the signature image on the certificate.
Company Logo
Upload your company logo to appear on the certificate:
- Click Upload Logo.
- Select your company logo file.
- The logo is placed in the header area of the certificate.
Tip: Use a high-resolution logo (at least 300x300 pixels) for crisp printing. If employees print their certificates, a low-resolution logo will look blurry.
Seal Image
Add an official seal or badge to the certificate for a more formal look:
- Click Upload Seal.
- Select your seal image (PNG with transparent background recommended).
- The seal appears in the designated area, typically near the signature.
This is optional but adds a professional, official feel to the certificate.
Custom Description
Write a personalized message that appears on the certificate body:
- Describe the achievement — what the challenge was about.
- Congratulate the participant.
- Keep it concise — 1-3 sentences.
Example:
"This certificate is awarded in recognition of outstanding participation in the Spring Wellness Challenge 2026. Your commitment to personal wellness inspires a healthier workplace for everyone."
What the Certificate Looks Like
The final certificate includes:
- Vantage Fit template design — clean, professional layout.
- Participant's name — automatically populated.
- Challenge name and dates — automatically populated.
- Your custom description — the text you wrote.
- Company logo — in the header.
- Signature image — in the signature area.
- Signer name and designation — below the signature.
- Seal image — near the signature (if uploaded).
When Certificates Are Generated
Certificates are auto-generated when the challenge ends:
- The challenge reaches its end date.
- The system processes final scores and determines completions.
- Certificates are generated for all eligible participants.
- Employees receive a notification that their certificate is available.
- Employees view and download their certificate from the Certificates section in the app.
Note: There may be a brief delay (a few hours) between the challenge end and certificate availability, especially for large challenges with thousands of participants.
Best Practices
- Customize every field. A fully customized certificate with your logo, seal, and a real signature feels like a genuine recognition — not just an auto-generated image.
- Use a senior leader as the signer. A certificate signed by the CHRO or VP of HR carries more weight than one signed by a program coordinator.
- Write a meaningful description. Generic text like "for participating" is forgettable. Reference the specific challenge theme and what it represented.
- Preview before publishing. Review how the certificate looks with all your customizations before publishing the challenge.
- Encourage sharing. Suggest employees share their certificates on LinkedIn or internal social platforms. This doubles as promotion for your wellness program.
