Vantage Fit can analyze your medical lab reports to automatically extract key health biomarkers. Upload a PDF of your blood work or health check-up, and the app will break down your results into an easy-to-understand format.
How to Upload a Lab Report
- Navigate to Health Features in the app
- Tap Lab Reports
- Tap the Upload button
- Select a PDF file from your phone's storage
Note: Lab Reports is a Full Mode feature. If your company uses Lite Mode, this feature will not be available to you.
What Happens After Upload
Once you upload your report, the processing begins:
Real-Time Processing Status
You'll see a processing indicator showing the status of your upload. The system reads the text in your PDF and identifies and extracts biomarker values automatically. This typically takes a few seconds to a couple of minutes, depending on the complexity and length of the report.
Biomarker Extraction
The system can extract and analyze 100+ biomarkers from standard lab reports, including:
| Category | Example Biomarkers |
|---|---|
| Blood count | Hemoglobin, WBC, RBC, platelets |
| Blood sugar | Fasting glucose, HbA1c, post-prandial glucose |
| Blood pressure | Systolic, diastolic |
| Cholesterol | Total cholesterol, LDL, HDL, triglycerides |
| Liver function | SGPT, SGOT, bilirubin, albumin |
| Kidney function | Creatinine, BUN, uric acid |
| Thyroid | TSH, T3, T4 |
| Vitamins | Vitamin D, B12, iron, ferritin |
| And more | Electrolytes, hormones, inflammatory markers |
Understanding Your Results
After processing, you'll see your extracted biomarkers displayed with clear indicators:
Normal vs. Out of Range
Each biomarker is flagged as:
- Normal -- Your value falls within the standard reference range
- Out of range -- Your value is above or below the expected range, highlighted for your attention
Risk Level
For out-of-range values, the app may indicate a risk level to help you understand severity:
- Mildly out of range -- Slightly above or below normal
- Significantly out of range -- Worth discussing with your doctor
Tip: Out-of-range values don't necessarily mean something is wrong. Many factors can cause temporary variations. Use these results as a conversation starter with your healthcare provider, not as a diagnosis.
Viewing and Managing Reports
Viewing Past Reports
All your uploaded reports are stored in the Lab Reports section. Tap on any past report to view the extracted biomarkers and analysis.
Deleting Reports
If you want to remove a report:
- Open the report from your list
- Look for the Delete option
- Confirm deletion
Deleted reports are permanently removed and cannot be recovered.
Tips for Best Results
- Upload clear, legible PDFs -- Scanned documents should be high-resolution. Blurry or skewed scans may result in extraction errors.
- Standard lab report formats work best -- Reports from major diagnostic labs (e.g., SRL, Thyrocare, Quest Diagnostics, LabCorp) are well-recognized by the system.
- One report per upload -- Upload individual reports rather than combined multi-page documents that contain multiple test dates.
- Check extracted values -- While the extraction is highly accurate, always verify the extracted values against your original report, especially for critical biomarkers.
Privacy and Data Security
Your lab reports contain sensitive medical information. Here's how Vantage Fit handles them:
- Reports are processed securely and the extracted data is tied to your personal health profile
- Your employer/HR admin does not have access to your individual lab report data
- Only you can view your uploaded reports and extracted biomarkers
Note: Lab report analysis is meant to help you understand your health data better. It is not a substitute for professional medical advice. Always consult your doctor for interpretation of lab results and medical decisions.
