What are wellness leagues (Gold, Silver, Bronze)?

Updated May 12, 2026 Employee

Wellness Leagues are a tier system that ranks you based on how many steps you take on a regular basis. Think of it like a fitness tier — the more consistently active you are, the higher your league.

The Three Leagues

League Meaning
Gold Top tier — consistently high daily step count
Silver Mid tier — solid daily activity
Bronze Entry tier — lower daily step average

Your league is determined by your rolling average daily steps — not a single day, but your average over a period of time.

How Your League Is Calculated

  1. The app calculates your average daily steps over a rolling window.
  2. The window is either 7 days or 30 days, depending on your company's configuration.
  3. Your average is compared against step thresholds set by your company.
  4. Based on where your average falls, you're placed into Gold, Silver, or Bronze.

Note: The exact step thresholds (e.g., Gold = 12,000+ steps/day average) are set by your company's HR admin and may vary from one organization to another.

Daily Recalculation

Your league is recalculated every day. This means:

  • A great week can move you from Bronze to Silver or Silver to Gold.
  • A slow week can move you down a tier.
  • Your league always reflects your recent activity, not your all-time history.

Viewing Your League

  1. Go to your Profile.
  2. Tap Leagues.
  3. You'll see your current league along with week-by-week navigation showing your league history.

Tip: Use the weekly navigation to look back at your tier history. It's a great way to see how your consistency has improved (or dipped) over time.

How to Move Up a League

The key is consistency, not one big day:

  • Walk more every day — Take stairs, walk during calls, add a short walk after meals.
  • Aim for steady growth — If you're averaging 5,000 steps, try to consistently hit 6,000 before aiming for 10,000.
  • Don't skip days — A zero-step day significantly drops your rolling average.

Remember, the league is based on your average. One 20,000-step day followed by three 2,000-step days gives you a 6,500-step average — which might be lower than someone who walks 8,000 steps every day.
