How to Change Language on iOS
There are two ways to change the app language on iPhone or iPad:
Option 1: Via Device Settings (Recommended)
- Open your iPhone's Settings app
- Scroll down and tap Vantage Fit
- Tap Language
- Select your preferred language from the list
Option 2: Via Language & Region Settings
- Open Settings on your iPhone
- Go to General → Language & Region
- Tap App Language (iOS 16+) and find Vantage Fit
- Select your preferred language
The app will reload in your chosen language.
Tip: If you're running iOS 16 or later, per-app language settings give you the most control. You can keep your phone in English but run Vantage Fit in Spanish, for example.
How to Change Language on Android
Android 12 and Above
Android 12+ supports per-app language settings:
- Open your phone's Settings app
- Tap Apps (or Apps & notifications)
- Find and tap Vantage Fit
- Tap Language
- Select your preferred language from the list
Android 11 and Below
On older Android versions, the app follows your device's system language:
- Open your phone's Settings app
- Go to System → Languages & input → Languages
- Add or move your preferred language to the top of the list
- Vantage Fit will use this language the next time you open the app
Note: Changing the system language affects all apps on your device, not just Vantage Fit. If you only want to change Vantage Fit's language, consider updating to Android 12 or later.
How Language Works on the Web App
The Vantage Fit web app follows your browser's language settings. To change it:
- Open your browser's settings (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge, etc.)
- Find the Language or Languages section
- Add or move your preferred language to the top of the list
- Refresh the Vantage Fit web page
The web app will display in the first language from your browser's list that Vantage Fit supports.
What Gets Translated (and What Doesn't)
When you switch languages, here's what changes:
Translated automatically:
- All app UI elements (buttons, menus, labels, navigation)
- System notifications and prompts
- System emails (subject lines and body text)
- Default content and instructions
Not translated automatically:
- Custom Terms & Conditions — if your company has added custom T&C text, they need to provide translations themselves
- Employer-created content — custom challenges, announcements, or communications written by your HR admin stay in the language they were written in
- Some articles and media — content availability may vary by language
Note: If you see a mix of languages in the app, it's likely because some content was created by your company in a specific language. The app UI itself will be fully translated.
