If your company uses password-based authentication for Vantage Fit, you can update your password anytime from the app's settings. Here's how.
How to Change Your Password
- Open the Settings screen (tap the gear icon or navigate from the drawer menu)
- Tap Change Password
- Enter your current password
- Enter your new password (minimum 6 characters)
- Confirm your new password by typing it again
- Tap Update password
Your password is updated immediately. Use your new password the next time you log in.
Password Requirements
Your new password must meet the following minimum requirement:
- At least 6 characters long
For a strong password, consider:
- Mixing uppercase and lowercase letters
- Including numbers and special characters
- Avoiding common words, your name, or your company name
- Not reusing passwords from other accounts
Tip: Use a password manager to generate and store strong, unique passwords. This way you don't have to remember complex strings -- the password manager handles it for you.
When Is "Change Password" Not Visible?
You will not see the Change Password option in Settings if your company uses Single Sign-On (SSO) as the only sign-in method. With SSO, your Vantage Fit login is managed through your company's login system, and password changes are handled there -- not in the Vantage Fit app.
If you're unsure whether your company uses SSO or password auth:
- SSO -- You log into Vantage Fit through your company's login portal or using your corporate email credentials without setting a separate Vantage Fit password
- Password auth -- You created a specific password for Vantage Fit during registration, separate from your corporate login
Note: If your company uses SSO and you need to change your login credentials, contact your IT department or use your company's password reset portal. Vantage Fit doesn't manage SSO credentials.
What If I Forgot My Current Password?
If you can't remember your current password and therefore can't complete the "Change Password" flow:
- Log out of the app (if you're currently logged in)
- On the login screen, tap Forgot Password
- Enter the email address associated with your Vantage Fit account
- Check your email for a password reset link
- Tap the link and follow the instructions to set a new password
- Log back in with your new password
The reset link is typically valid for a limited time (usually 24 hours). If it expires before you use it, simply request a new one.
Tip: If you don't see the password reset email, check your spam/junk folder. The email comes from the Vantage Fit platform and may be filtered by some email providers.
Troubleshooting
"Change Password" option is missing
Your company likely uses SSO. Contact your IT department for credential changes.
Password reset email not arriving
- Check your spam/junk folder
- Verify you're using the correct email address (the one associated with your Vantage Fit account)
- Wait a few minutes -- email delivery can sometimes be delayed
- Try requesting the reset link again
New password not being accepted
- Make sure it's at least 6 characters long
- Ensure the "new password" and "confirm password" fields match exactly
- Check for trailing spaces that may have been accidentally added
